Picking area with HUs

Hi,

We are using WM in ERP with HUs, in high racks HUs is working fine, however in picking areas where we pick cases or even single units is not fine, my question is if there is something or some tip that helps us to pick more easily in picking with TO and without taking care of the HU and batch.

Hi Mariana,

A solution could be to add a Storage location to your Plant (via IMG) that is not Handling Unit Managed in which you keep the unpacked goods (cases, single units) and at the same time assign this Storage location to the same Warehousenumber (also in IMG).

Important questions in this context are: do the cases/single units originate from the full (handling) units (by means of unpacking) and do the picking areas you mention only carry cases/single units and never full (handling) units.

Hello,

And how to manage in the same outbound delivery for example:

The order needs 3 pallets and 4 cases each pallet has 10 cases.

So the delivery is created with 34 cases, from one storage location how can you put that 30 cases are from one storage location and 4 cases are from other.

HI,

Using the removal strategy for large/small quantities can help you divide the transfer order items into picking from two different storage types dependent on quantity.

Once you have switch on HU management SU management is mandatory for all storage types!

With Hu managemnt you will need to watch out for capacity checking in fixed bin locations and processe such as replenishemnt and putaway that lead to addittion to stock.
