RCA - Provide information for your BI configuration - Solman_Setup

Dear SAP colleagues,

I have implemented RCA. I have implemented the first satellite system in RCA (Solman), following solman_setup guided procedure.

In "Basic Configuration" phase, step "User Data", we specify where is the BI Backend system.

In our Solman System, we do have 2 clients (+ 000 and 066) :

Client 001 - is the BI Backend system.

Client 100 - is the SOLMAN productive system.

My question :

I have deployed the RCA in Client 100 in our Solman system.

Our BI Backend client is in our Solman 001 client.

Is there any problem to read info cube data from client 100 to 001 ?

Should I deploy RCA in the same mandant as BI Backend system ?

Hi,

Use oroductive client 100. To chage the BI client change to table entry RSADMINA.

This will work.

Hi,

Never use 001 client for any purpose.

For BI you can create another client on Sol. Man (say 200) and use it.

What I always do when setting up is leave 001 for what it is.

So convert the bi client to your productive client (how-to is mentioned in solman_setup).

In that way your 001 client remains blanc, and can be used for client copies.

If you do that, you don't have to check the boxes for "bi backend is installed in different system or client".
