Date Format

Hello Experts,

Is it possible to change the date format in MDM??

I can see the date and time in create stamp as "01/18/2011 11:30:20"

can this be changed to "dd/mm/yyyy 11:30:20"

also is it possible to change the format of literal date type as well!!!

Please help me in this issue.

Hello Eva

I think that format depend on DBMS configuration

I dont know another ability to change that.

Literal date format can be changed by configuration options(date format) in Import manager.

My understanding is IM date format config option is used to specify incoming date format..is it working for you??

This will not help you to change existing date format you see in data manager.

Pls confirm.

Yes you are right.

The existing DM date format doesnt change.

Why don't you try changing date format in DBMS configuration...it should work..

Hello Eva

I think you didn't transform all dates to one format before importing

and now you have problem because in your repository some records have DD insted MM and vice versa, that is correct?

In that case big work waiting you..

but you can upload your date filed only if you prepare source file in format like:

ID(unique id of record in your repository)

wrong date1(in selected format)

wrong date2(in selected format)

ets.

Selected fromat should be tha same for all your date field, for example: dd/mm/yyyy or mm.dd.yyyy.
