Folder creation failing during creation from EasyDMS

Hi SAP Folks,

We have a requirement to use change number when creating folders. So a change number number was created with valid from date : 13.01.2011 and object types associated was BOM , Document.

When the user creates from R/3 using CV11 the Document structure gets created withthe same change number, but when trying to create the Folder from EasyDMS it does not allow , The document gets geneated when checked in R/3 and assigned to the Change number with the deletion indicator set automatically.

the message the user gets is

Folder Creation failed; check the logs under SLG1 Tx for more information.

While checking SLG1 transaction in SAP I found the no info for the user ,with the user name as only input and the date range.

I also tried assigning all the available objects for the change number, still it did not work

We are using Easy DMS 7.0 ( unicode ) version.

Any pointers plz on what could be the issue ?

Hi Achuthan,

In easyDMS,folders are equivalent to document structures/BOM's in R/3 DMS,hence,to be able to create folders in easyDMS, a user must be assigned the following authorization object and values in respective roles.

Authorization object: C_STUE_BER (allows you to restrict maintenance of bills of material)

Activity: 01(Create), 02(Change), 03(Display), 06(Delete)

BOM category: D

Please ensure that these are maintained for the user in question and re-test the scenario.

Hi Pradeep

Yes the mentioned object and activity has been assigned . the user is able to create in the R/3 system , the document structure using Cv11, documents using Cv01 and assign it via CV11 , but facing an issue when trying to create the folder from the easyDMS .
