Hi,

No there is no field for person responsible in network activity. You have it on Project and WBS. If you can detail your requirement alternatives can be suggested.

User defined fields can be an option to try out.

You can also use suitability field of additional Data tab page of activities.Normally it is used for mentioning the suitability of skill to perform that activity.

If HR is implemented, then you can have persons attached to your network activities for which you should have following settings.

1. Assign contol key with capacity requirements ticked in OPSU

2. Capacity requirements should be selected in OPUU tcode

3. Work center attached to this activity should have capacity category 002.

If you make above settings system system will get you a tab called person assignment in activity screen. But in the actual sense these persons are the persons performing the activity not the person responsible.

Alternatively if you want the person responsible for information purpose then you can use the user fields with enhancement CNEX0001 and exit EXIT_SAPLCONW_001

Suman Misra - You are missing the point

Person responsible is the project manager

What you are suggesting is the person assigned to do the work

I was hoping that someone will finally suggest the planner group or the MRP controller

These are two fields available on the network header (check assignment or control tab)

The planner group is usually the planner responsible and MRP controller is usually the material controller for the network - this aplies to all the activities linked to the network.

I would hence suggest that you use the planner group on the network header
