Billing Number Range for Vietnam

Dear All,

There is law request in Vietnam.

They request all invoice(billing doc) printed must only contains 7 digits.

And the first invoice of every year should be 0000001.

For instance, in 2011, the first invoice after tax athority's approval should be 0000001. And in next year, the first one should also be 0000001.

Do you guys have any idea on how to do this? is there any SAP standard solution?

Thanks

James

Normally SAP does not encourage maintaining billing number range year wise. It should be a continuous one. But as you said, if it is a statutory law, then SAP should have considered that also but I am not sure.

Have a look at Note 1256346 - SAP Best Practices Baseline VN V1.603 whether it helps you.

In fact, In note 602901, following is mentioned

For other countries (for example Bangladesh, Pakistan,

Vietnam) SAP does not explicitely support country specific functions.

So better take up the issue with SAP in case the above notes are not answered your question.

thanks

The user exit is preferred, as there is no SAP standard solution.

Any other suggestion except user exits and add-on table?

Hi James,

If Vietnam uses it´s own invoice type you can assign a specific number range to it. If you use the invoice type for several countries you need to develop a solution to have an alternative number range for Vietnam, f.ex. an exit in RV60AFZZ looking up the number range in a table zxxx.

To start each year with number 0000001 you reset the number range.

best regards

Michael
