EasyDMS ACL Not Working Properly while Selecting HR Object

Hello SDN Experts

Now I am trying to Activate ACL in EasyDMS

Everything is working fine as per the SAP Standard

In ACL there is 4 option to chose

1 User

2 User Group

3 Role

4 HR Object

while i selecting option

1 , 2 and 3 the relevant search option is working fine (pop up window for search while click on search button)

but the problem i face is selecting 4th option of HR object and clicking on Search Option the pop up window is not open ???

why ? is there any settings for it ???

Easy DMS Version 7.0 sp 7

R/3 ECC6 sp 17

window xp SP3

P.S. ACL is Activated in DCSWI

Hi Tushar,

Propose you look up Note 1171060 that provides the complete list of Object Links supported by Easy DMS.Believe in your case the object in question is not supported.

My question about authorization Activity not for the Object link

I am asking question about ACL

the authorization TAB which is use for giving authorization to perticular user for folder level and file level

pls kindly provide help on it..

We are given to understand that the features and functionalities are currently restricted for the 'HR object' and role.Quoting Christoph's response for a similar query below.

regarding your request I got the information from the EasyDMS development team that the functionality around the 'HR object' and role is not yet implemented to the full extent. See also file 'SAP_Easy_Doc_Mgmt.chm' in the EasyDMS installation files. So I would recommend you to use only authorizations for 'user', 'user groups'. 

You may also raise an OSS and see if there are any new updates.

I gone through Christoph's response in below forum

i gone through the Easy_DMS Help.chm file

Under the "Defining Authorizations" concept

there is only "Recommendation" not any kind of "Caution"

Do not use the authorization holder type "HR Object".

But i notice that it was 9 month old thread !!!!

after that there is lots of new things comes

and right now i am in process of delivering the EasyDMS 7 sp 7

the latest one is EasyDMS 7.1 and it is in Ramp-up which is posted in below forum

so that means i am using latest version

from R/3 side when i do the same Activity/scenario it is give some out put ,

any how i want to check the same with EasyDMS becoz it is business requirement to Provide authorization

on the base of HRObject so there is no need to add one by one user ID / No need to create User Group for ACL

You just select HRObject in Authorization tab..so every user under that object will get the Authorization.

P.S. Correct me If I wrong !!!
