Problem during installation ERP form IM620/640

Hello,

I want to move another SAP system (Q02) on one host. Previounsly installed and still working system is D02.

AIX/Oracle environment.

I started system copy form menu System Copy -> Target System -> ABAP -> Oracle and then 'Next' button as always

before next screen load i have error:

FSL-03001 Error converting from host name=d02 to IP addresses. SAPRETURN=12.

Any ideas?

Hello Michal,

Please check the address lookup for the server mentioned:

Ensure the hostname is correct inlcuding uppercase/lowercase

Have you started sapinst with

SAPINST_USE_HOSTNAME=

Note 124562 - Hostname resolution problems (DNS timeouts)

Hello,

Installation runs only when I change file /etc/hosts and assign to my IP alias d02...

despite of SAPINST_USE_HOSTNAME variable is set to aixprod...

AIX shows aixprod when I type hostname in command line

Any ideas?

Yes, the installation master DVD is correct. I had properly migrate D02 about 2 weeks ago using the same DVD.

It looks like that installation master DVD is not correct. Are you using the correct installation master DVD for your OS ?
