Import manager log file not updating

Hi,

when using import manager of MDM, the log file no longer gets updated with problems of last import.

C:\Program Files\SAP MDM 5.5\Import Manager\ImportManagerErr.....xml

It stopped working a few days ago.

I need some pointers of what could be wrong.

Hi

It seems like a MDIS Verbose Setting problem, could you please check in your MDIS.INI File what is the value for Verbose.

It should be 0xFFFF.

Different Verbose Parameter Settings

Setting Hexa Decimal Value Description

Verbose OFF 0x0000 Turns off all verbose settings

Verbose ON 0xFFFF Turns on all verbose settings

FI Verbose 0x0001 Adds verbose field information

XML Verbose 0x0002 Adds verbose XML processing information

MAP Verbose 0x0004 Adds verbose field mapping information

THRD Verbose 0x0008 Turns on STRUCTX, VALUEX, and IMPORTX settings

PARSER Verbose 0x0010 Adds XML/text parser audit trail

STRUCTX Verbose 0x0020 Adds structural exception thread audit trail

VALUEX Verbose 0x0040 Adds value exception thread audit trail

IMPORTX Verbose 0x0080 Adds import exception thread audit trail

CHUNK Verbose 0x0100 Adds chunk processing audit trail

VxR Verbose 0x0020 Adds virtual extended record audit trail

Verbose logging is currently set to "OFF",

Do you mean if I turn this setting on, the import log will update the import log file locally on users computer?

Strange thing is that this logging worked until December 17, and the mdis.ini file hasn't been changed for two years.

Yes, please set to 'ON' and then try to import and check the import logs and let us know the findings
