Splitting DB from CI with PI 7.1, SLD issues

Hello,

Does anyone have any experience with splitting the database from the CI to a new host with PI 7.1 (distributed)?

Our last attempt was aborted due to the issues that was caused in the SLD. The short of it is, when SAP came online and the J2ee PI applications started, they registered themselves as a new CI instance on the new database host name, resulting in duplicate entries in the SLD. This caused nearly all functions in PI to fail. Manually changing all of these and associations was not successful...

Any help/pointers/experiences would be appreciated.

We resolved this issue by setting the SLDSYSTEMHOME parameter in the default profile.
