Hi All,

I am looking for the documentation of the standard key figures or key figure functions available in SNP. Could anyone share it with me pls? I would like to know exactly what data they hold so that I can put together my own planning book.

Best regards,

Ádá

Ádám,

Before you think about creating your own books, you would be well advised to look at the standard SAP offerings. There are about 6 standard SNP Planning areas: 9ASNP02 (order-based), 9ASNP03 (for scheduling agreement processing), 9ASNP04 (for optimization-based planning with time-dependent restrictions), 9ASNP05 (for safety stock planning), 9AVMI03 (for deployment heuristic with consideration of demands in the source location), and 9SSNP_PPDS (used by PP/DS deployment).

Within the std planning areas, SAP also supplies about 10 standard SNP Planning books. You can see the definitions of these in /SAPAPO/SDP8B, look for planning books named 9ASNP94, 9ADRP, 9AVMI, 9ASA, 9ASNPAGGR, 9ASNP_PS, 9ATSOPT, 9ASNP_SSP, 9DRP_FSS, and 9ASNP_SHLF.

You can review the standard Key figures available in each of the SNP Planning areas by using /SAPAPO/MSDP_ADMIN. I have never seen a comprehensive listing published of SNP Key Figure definitions. Maybe try Google.....

I don't know what you mean by "Key Figure Functions". If you mean Functions that can be used in SNP PB Macros, you can find definitions in standard help at

If I may offer a word of advice. SNP is not a subject that one can easily learn by building new planning books. One not only needs to understand the software, but also the underlying planning principals involved. It is a common practice to build a new planning book by copying an existing book, and then modifying the copy.

Many consultants learn the basics of SNP by attending either classes given by SAP, or by third party training companies. A distant second choice would be to buy/borrow/download some of the printed and online data sources, and study those.

These forums are unfortunately ill-suited for basic training. We are more geared toward discussing solutions to specific problems.

A major source of basic info is online SAP help

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm70/helpdata/EN/d5/a073374026023fe10000009b38f8cf/frameset.htm

There is a nice Wiki at

http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/SCM/APO-SNP

Also, Best Practices has a nice configuration guide:

http://help.sap.com/bp_scmv250/BBLibrary/HTML/B06_EN_DE.htm

Once you have mastered the above, then that might be a better time to begin building customized planning books.

Best Regards & Good Luck,
