dependency for sc - go by sld definition or go by runtime system version?

I'm confused by the version i should use for sc dependenct components. I'm using sap_ess 6.03. in sld, it has dependency defined as 7.00 verions of SAP_JEE, SAP-JTECHS, SAP_BUILDT and EP_BUILDT. but some how i get the idea that the dependency should match the runtime system version, which in our case is 7.01 version of EP. so should i modify the dependency for SAP_ESS 603 to have 7.01 version of SAP_JEE, SAP-JTECHS, SAP_BUILDT and EP_BUILDT as dependent sc?

Thanks,

Jane Zhou

Hello Jane

ESS should be built against 7.00, this will run on 7.01

Thanks

Dear jane zhou,

There will be no harm if you choose the latest possible version available of the SC as a dependency,

because, all the latest SC versions that are released are backward compatible.

And it is always a good practise to keep your track updated with the latest SC versions.
