SMSY refresh from SLD for non-SAP available?

Former Member

The LANDSCAPE_FETCH moves technical systems data from SLD to SMSY.

This work fine for SAP systems.

Is there an equivalent for non-SAP systems?

Perhaps a fetch server data from SLD or fetch database data from SLD?

Note that even if a server IS SAP related (such as a web dispatcher or a saprouter), if it isn't included in a SAP system model, LANDSCAPE_FETCH doesn't copy the server data from SLD to SMSY.

SMSY has a nice analytics package that SLD lacks...

I see an example is in order.

I run Livelink Enterprise Archive Server 9.6.1 by OPENTEXT.

Although this doesn't come with the SAP kernel, I can easily package saposcol and sldreg and register the archive server in my SLD... so SLD knows OPSYS, OPSYS version, Physical memory, IP address, etc.

No technical system exists for this server in SLD (because LEA 9.6.1 doesn't come with SLD support).

I can manually add system, database and a technical system in SMSY (as is described in the Landscape Setup Guide),

but LANDSCAPE FETCH from SLD does not fill in server details into SMSY even though server data exists in SLD.

If there was a LANDSCAPE FETCH variant which justs refreshes server data from SLD..,

Hello Ken,

How do you register archive server in you SLD? You can write a step by step?

Our systems:

1. OpenText Extended ECM 10.5

2. SAP Solution Manager 7.1 SP11

Thanks

Use SLDREG for this purpose for connecting non-ABAP or non-JAVA systems.

Hi

server data from SLD and database server data from SLD both included as a technical system data which has been fetch from SLD, moreover if you define any non sap system (webdispatcher) in SLD, these data also comes to smsy while landscape fetch, you can refer the detail configuration settings regarding all the non sap components like trex, dispatcher, BO objects etc

here the guide [https://websmp107.sap-ag.de/diagnostics|https://websmp107.sap-ag.de/diagnostics]->media library->SAP Solution Manager Landscape Setup Guide version 2.14,Nov.

Hope your doubt cleared

Thanks,

Or is that what you're ruling out with your last remark?
