Hi everybody,

anyone seen this before?

I have installed a new SMD Agent for a newly installed system.

I chose the message server connection to my SolMan System (connection is available, I check on OS level).

When starting the Agent I get:

Can you attach it to your SLD in Agent Registration?

Hi David,

thanks for your suggestions.

How can I test this?

Best regards,

Jochen

Go to the managed system setup section

In step 3, manual configuration, the second option is a jump-in to assign diagnostics agent

or go to http://<hostname>:<port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tcsmdnavigation/StandaloneApp?APP_ID=ADMIN_AGENT

No I can't....the agent is not visible there...not even as an offline agent.

The Agent is running (in MMC it's green)?

You can check a bit deeper in agent registration.

On the "agents" tab, go to Agent Candidates Management

Choose Advanced settings, and add your local SLD.

Go back, choose your new connection and apply

Now you will see a list of smd agent candidates, is it visable there?

thanks...the agent is running

And it's not even visible as a candidate...

I am trying to re-install the agent, maybe something went wrong there

That would have been my next suggestion

What agent are you installing? 7.20?

Hi David,

thanks for all your suggestions. Obviously it was only a load problem on the SolMan system. This monday the agent was suddenly connected....

Best regards,

Jochen
