SMD Manged system Diagnostics Setup Error

Hi Experts,

I am gotting following error while doing SMD configuration setup. I Have installed SMD agent on this ABAP system. after giving all the details in setup wizard, when i am clicking on next button, I am getting following error.

Problem is that SMD agent is installed on 10.202.129.229 and here it is trying to connect to 10.206.129.229.

I have checked in SMSY, there everything seems to be ok.

Hi Akhilesh,

You mentioned the SMD Agent is installed on 10.202.129.229. Where is the ABAP system installed? Is it on 10.206.129.229?

Ideally the SMD Agent should be installed on the same host as the ABAP system.

Yes,

It should be installed on the same host.

try to check the existing instance and go ahead for installation.

Hope you have given the correct details of your existing solution manager during the installation.

i.e.. the hostname & SLD port etc..

Thanks for your respone. I have installed SMD agent on the same host where ABAP system is installed. Also the details of solution manager provided by me during SMD agent installation is correst as i have giving same details while installing agent in other hosts.

I don't know why it is going to 10.206.129.229 instead of 10.202.129.229

Check your hosts file...there are chances of a wrong entry in that file.

I have corrected the ip address in SMSY, which was wrong previously.

Please run tcode SMSY then select Landscape component, then select server (system), go to technical data tab and change the ip address.
