Hello,
I need some help, we are taking the first steps at attempting to Install SAP ERP 6.0 We have a server running we want to do the Central System Landscape (All Services Running on One Server).
We are trying to get SAPInst to install on the server so we can begin the process. We have completed the following
Installed Windows 2003 R2 x64
Installed MSSQL 2005 Enterprise
Installed Java SDK 1.4.2.17
Downloaded SAPCAR
Downloaded SAPInst 7.0.2 extracted it and placed it in c:\SAPInstall Directory
Updated environment variable to point to the java environment
When we go to Launch the application we are getting the following error message:
"
You start the installation without specifying a startup file via SAPINST_CONTROL_URL in the directory C:/SAPInst Temp. The framework asumes that control.xml or product.catalog has to be used but there doesn't exist such files. If there exist an installation with a different startup filename please specify that filename via SAPINST_CONTROL_URL.
"
What are we missing many thanks!
Hi Benjamin,
Definitely some of the important files are missing from the SAPInst extract.
But ideally the SAPInst is a part of the Installation Master DVD for your respective OS/Database.
You woudnt need to extract SAPInst seperately.
Did you download the Installation Master DVDs from the SMP?

Srikishan
