E2E configuration

Hi All,

I need help quickly.

I'm currently in the process of configuring diagnostics.

First I have setup my managing system.

No problems whatsoever...

Next I start with the satellites, the first one gives me some trouble.

The following error occurs when I enter all parameters in the setup wizard.

Existence check of path D:\usr\sap\DBW\DVEBMGS31\ failed

[Filesystem] File [D:\usr\sap\DBW\DVEBMGS31\] doesn't exist; canonical path is [D:\usr\sap\DBW\DVEBMGS31]

I'm 10000% positive that D is the right drive, all are systems run on D.

It's a Windows 2008 based SolMan on SPS24 connecting to a 7.20 agent....also on w2008

Any idea's???

I've setup diagnostics a lot of times, but never encountered this error before.

Regards,

David

Hello David,

The error that you are getting basically is because of the service user and smdagent user (which is created while installing the agent) have no permissions on the folder in question D:\usr\sap\DBW\DVEBMGS31\

Once you provide enough authorization to the users that need access, you won't encounter this issue no more.

On top of this provide full authorizations for group SAP_LocalAdmin on SRD folders.

Please also refer to this note below for more help on this.

I'll check this out, unfortunately my OS-guy has left for the day....so I can't get in!

Just to make sure, you're talking about the DAAadm and SAPserviceDAA, right?

Cheers

Okay, I checked this, and unfortunately it didn't work.

As i might have suspected, did a clean install on all my systems using the same user.

For 3 of them, no problems, only my bw is acting up.

Also the note seemed more unix/linux oriented, where my system is Windows 2008 Server.

Any other suggestions?

For what it's worth . I had the exact same issue described in this thread.

It only worked after I gave sapserviceDAA "read&execute", "list folder content" and "read" access to usr/sap/<sid>

on windows 2003. Didn't get the error on 2008.

sapserviceDAA was created locally rather than through domain.

Well - the drive may be the correct one - but is the instance directory and the instance number?
