Error in SAP NW 2004s Installation

Dear All,

I am installing SAP NW 7.0.

System details are as follows:

OS: Windows 2008 R2 -64 Bit

Java : 1.4.2_29(64 bit)

DB: MSSQL2005 (64 Bit)

i have downloaded sw from SAP market place using our super S ID.

I have edited kernel DVD as per note 1480785.

Now when i am installing i am getting error in prerequisite cheker step :

OS version -Condition not met -

If i ignore this warning and move ahead for installation i stuck in step 16 Import ABAP

error :

sapparam: sapargv( argc, argv) has not been called.

sapparam(1c): No Profile used.

sapparam: SAPSYSTEMNAME neither in Profile nor in Commandline

Please suggest me how can i resolve this error.

Hi,

please paste your R3load.exe.log

it should have some hints, is your database up and running

Deactivate CUA, reboot the server and try again. You can reactivate CUA after the installation finished.

I am very new to BASIS area......

please suggest me how to deactivate and activate CUA.

i am installing with a user with all admin and domail controller right.

still do i need to deactivate UAC?

First: The user you use to install is irrelevant, the user in question is <sid>adm (and also SAPService<SID>), that's the one trying to connect to the database.

I saw this issue before and a workaround to enable the user connect to the database is to deactivate the UAC.
