Material creation in SRM

Dear All,

I am trying to create material in SRM using /nCOMMPR0. after clicking on create material tab, i need to enter category. But there is no values for this field. How to get values for the category field ?

HI CB,

You need to create product category locally in srm system using comm_hierarchy or replicate product category from ecc backend system.

Already i have created COMM_HIERARCHY, but the same is not showing when i am trying to create material using commpr01, when i entered manually the category which i created, system is giving a pop up showing *Product category xxxx has a different product type to maintained product

Can you please tell me what might be wrong here ?

Hi CB,

I think first you need to replicate Product cateory from Backend. If you need to create local category then create from Tx. COMM_HIERARCHY .
