MOPz missing EHP1 upgrade option for NW 7

Hi everyone,

I'm wanting to upgrade our BW 3.5 (NW 04) system to NetWeaver 7 EHP1. Unfortunately in MOPz the only selectable EHP upgrade option from BW 3.5 to NW7 is EHP2.

Were unable to use EHP2 as our BW 3.5 system contains FINBASIS and SEM-BW which for NW 7.02 requires SEM-BW/FINBASIS versions 6.05 which is in rampup (EHP5 for ERP6). NW 7.0 EHP1 uses SEM-BW/FINBASIS 6.04 which is part of the ERP 6 EHP4 upgrade kit.

So, does anyone know how I can make NW 7 EHP1 a valid selectable option in MOPz?

Hello Mr Wimpory,

Please check http://service.sap.com/solman-mopz , the uprade paths supported by Maintenance Optimizer are listed there.

NW 7 EHP1 is not supported as target of an upgrade with Maintenance Optimizer. EHP2 , on the other hand, is.

I had actually seen this sometime ago but had obviously forgotten. Will proceed without using MOPz.

I don't really know the logic behind this design decision but that's the outcome... No upgrade-with-EHP1-install support, even though upgrade with EHP2 is supported. I have to convince of this fact disbelieving customers day in day out...

This is possible to select EHP1 in MOPZ. Could you please let us know what product version you are using in SMSY for this system ?

the upgrade option for Netweaver is available in Maintenance Optimizer only when the target is EHP2 for NW 7.
