simplified chinese language install

Hi

Installaed simplified chinese language in ECC6 (unicode) system.

Table V_T015Z only has number to text conversion values for English, French, German, and Spanish. It doesnt have chinese. When i logged in with ZH ,can see only square boxes instead chinese texts. Pelase suggest.

Try this:

1. Click on "customize local layout" icon (extreme right) and choose "options'.

2. Go to tab "I18N" (internationalization) and activate it.

3. Again click on "customize local layout" icon (extreme right) and choose "character set" (takes time to get this option)

4. You will get list of languages..select Simplified chinese and unicode.

Issue was resolved after upgrade SAP GUI version to 7.2 patch 4.0 from 7.0.

Followed the GUI settings as advised. Thank you.

Can I add a new language on SAP, without stopping SAP ?

Is it possible to do it online, without affecting the users ?

Hi,

As far as I think, there are many reasons for this output. these are:

1) May be, the OS which you have is not compatible with CHINESE so it is throwing some dumps. the possibel remedy: Contact the OS administrator.

2) Have you configured the NLS setting? This issue can be due to that also.

3) The parameter, zcsa/installed_language must be set properly to the value of chinese language. Check that too.

4) As it's a transport going on, please check that the TR is released or not.
