Subcontracting with PDS

Hi,

I am trying to map a sub contracting process. At vendor location i need to create the work center and PDS.

Is it possible to create PDS at vendor location or only PPM is the solution.

it is quite possible to map subcontracting scenario with PDS at vendor location which can be used to produce the product.

Thanks for your reply...

In ECC we cant create Product, Routing, Production Version against vendor.

Business scenario:

Mat (x) can be produced in house as well sub contracted.

Mat (x) has B.O.M component y and z.

Now when subcontracting is selected; STR/PR should be generated from vendor location for y and z to the (production plant)

---> For the above process I have created a PPM for product x at vendor location with components y and z. the components y and z have transportation lanes plant to vendor.

I was not able to create the master data against vendor in ECC (so no PDS)

Please suggest.
