Hi,

Route schedule is a functionality used to find out the transportation lead times during availability check. In route scheduling, the lead times for every route, the calendar and the distance are provided. If route scheduling is enabled and the lead times are provided, this lead time is added to the material availability date to determine the delivery date from the goods issue date.

This functionality is also used during shipment process to identify the time taken for a shipmetn to reach the target location.
