Hi,

Hello move the content of \sapinst_instdir folder to some other location and run the installer again. Also remember to delete the temp folder contents before launching sapinst tool.

Hi Srini,

In SMD agent 7.11 sapinst is available along with the agent. Are you using it or not ? if not you can try to lauch the sapinst present with agent 7.11.

Akhilesh.

Yes,

orginally I tried to use the SAPInst coming with Diag Agent 7.11. This worked fine for all of our systems except one.

Hello,

I already re-started the installation from scratch several times. Installation and temp folder were always empty.

The Java path is set correctly, the Java version is 1.4.2_22 (working fine for other systems).

Best regards

Ulf

Hi,

As you mentioned above ""waiting for a connection on host xxxxxx, port 21200 to continue with the installation

""

Can you check if there is any issue with the port 21200??? Is the port functioning properly???

Hi,

Download the sapinst latest patch, uncar it in directory...copy the uncar files in the installation directory & re-try

Hi,

I have to cope with the same issue on exactly one of our 60 systems. I have no difficulties to start the SAPInst on any of the other systems, but I can't find any differences in their configurations.

I already tried to apply a newer version of SAPInst (as suggested), but this did not help either (package SAPINST7102_2-20003627.SAR, Rel. 7.10 PL 80 for SunOS).

Do you have any other suggestions how to get the SAPInst up and running on this final system?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Ulf
