How to Apply SAP delivered Ear file.

Hi,

SAP gave us an ear file for an MSS java bug. I used SDM to put it into DEV, but now QA will not allow this in, because it says there is nothing new. I think this is because of NWDI which controls the imports etc.

Does anyone know how to use NWDS to select this ear file and push it into my landscape. The deployment tool also wont work for QA.

i think sdm has a setting, by default if the version of ear you are trying to deploy is lower or same as the deployed one, the deploy will be aborted.

you just set the sdm, allow it deploy any version.

Yes you are right, I actually have done this in the past and totally forgot. I ended up using Visual Administrator which worked but I am pretty sure the override options in SDM would have worked also.
