Mobile Client --> Laptop --> New User not created

Former Member

Dear All,

i Have installed the Mobile client for laptop , once it opens up it asks for username and password.I was said in forum to create new user if logged in first time.So i clicked " new User" but after clicking it is not navigating further.

Should i configure any settings before log in (i.e) in perefrence link?

My understanding is if i press create new user it will create user in local DB (MAXDB) and then prompt for me login.

Is anything wrong ?? If i click " new user" it is not promting further.

Kindly post u r views

Thanks

Hi ,

On click of "New User" button it should open a very similar screen having three input fields: Userid., password and confirmation. Once you fill these input boxes and save it will create a user for you.next time you open a client, use this userid and password to login.

P.S. : User ID should be the same as that of the DOE server you are going to connect with.

Thanks & Regards

Hi ,

Looking at the trace, it seems there is a problem in your SAPGUI for JAVA. You have to raise an OSS for this .

Hi

you can pick the latest client from SAP's service market place.

For the current client installed on your machine, here are some trouble shooting tips

1. If some dump or unexpected behaviour occurs, one can go to the clients 'log' folder and check the latest trace file to see the

exact error or exceptions

2. To further increase the tracing level, one can go to 'logconfig.properties' inside the 'settings' folder and change the level to debug

3. To check if you have the correct SAP GUI, goto 'startup.bat' or 'startserver.bat' file of the client and see the path against

JAVA_GUI_HOME. The referred file at this path should be available.

4. Sometimes the JAVA_GUI_HOME is different from the one set in the 'Environment Variables' of one's machine. Make sure this also points to the right location of SAP GUI

Hope this helps

Hello,

I have experierenced a little with the Java-Versions and found out that I could only use the following versions:

JRE 1.6.0_14 till

JRE 1.6.0_21

The versions over Update 21 didn´t work for the SAP NW mobile client.

Bye
