Hi XI Gurus
We recently upgraded R3 4.7 to ECC 6.0 and XI 3.0 to PI 7.1 but left alone BW system which is still on 3.5 (Netweaver 04).
Our message from BW to XI is not flowing and ending with error HTTP response contains status code 401 with the description Unauthorized Error when sending by HTTP (error code: 401, error text: Unauthorized
Any ideas? I checked that XIAPPLUSER is fine on PI side. Adapter Engine Cache is not showing up in SXI_CACHE. At one place in the trace, I see the messageu2026.
<html><head><title>Logon Error Message</title>
We set the profile parameter login/password_downwards_compatibility on PI side but still doesnu2019t work.
Hello,
Please check the RFC destination in BW system which is connecting to PI.
The user used in the RFC destination should have proper authorization in PI system.
Also, just check if the exchange profile users are PIAPPLUSER or XIAPPLUSER .
Please check the below blog for more checks related to HTTP 401 error.
