E2E Set up

HI Team,

We are going to set up E2E in solman 7.0 EHP1 system

Please suggest the required file systems for E2E set up and how much space is required for it.

I searched installation guide for E2E set up on solman but did find on marketplace.

Please share the link if you have so that I can get proper information.

For information regarding sizing the solution manager system kindly do check in the following link:-

Kindly do use the sizing tool kit.

If you are looking for the filesystem name and size, then its like any dual stack sap installation with a initial requirement of 60GB for dataspace.

You will be installing SAPHost agent in the managed systems and the file system requirement for the same is as follows:-

/usr/sap/hostctrl to be created for Hostagent on the managed systems

It requires 1.5GB free space as minimum to install.

You will be installing SMDAgent in the managed systems and the file system requirement for the same is as follows:-

/usr/sap/DAA directory to be created for SMDAgent on the managed systems

It requires 1.5GB free space as minimum to install SMDAgent.

Hi All,

From the sizing guide I came to know that 20 GB disk space is required at Application level for E2E.

But not mentioned in which file system we should increase this space.

Please confirm the required file system in which mainly space is required for E2E installation.

I also checked installation guide at https://websmp204.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000066952009E/SP18_SOLMAN_SETUP.pdf

but it only contain some information not whole installation guide for E2E.

Please suggest.

Typically when you install Solution Manager E2E is part of the installation. You have to install SMD Agents seperately as part of the setup. The partition where the data will be stored will be the partition where your Solman BI database is located as the data is written to the BI.

This may be why you are having difficulty finding a reference to what partition?
