Can someone confirm for me that with a local client copy you do not have to run BDLS afterwards? Its only needed after a remote client copy or system copy.

In both cases , BDLS is taken care by the client copy program only. so no worries about that. If you do a simulation run and see the log for that, the last set of programs that run will have BDLS.

After a client copy you need to Convert the Client-Dependent Tables using the second option of transaction BDLS .
BDSL is necessary becose you change the client number that is in key .

One clarification:
For any kind of client copy (local/remote) BDLS is not required, the process takes care itself.
It is required for system copy to run BDLS manually.
