Different between "Timeout" and "'poolWaitingTime" in Receiver JDBC / File

Hi,

I am a bit confuse between these 2 parameters in Receiver JDBC / File Adapter, which one i should configure to prevent the server hang whenever there is any network / connection problem.

As per notes 1473299

When Maximum concurrency is 1, then the value of the parameter 'poolWaitingTime' will be 0(by default).

and by default Receiver JDBC and File always come with "Maximum concorrency = 1". And there is "Timeout" Parameters

under FTP Parameters.

Which one shall i use ? any comment ? What is the different ? "It seems like both for connection timeout"

Thank You and Best Regards

Fernand

Hi,

Refer the SAP note 801926 for this.

You can use the 'timeout' parameter in FTP.

poolWaitingTime is indeed a timeout parameter.....no idea if it works in File....it does work in JDBC.
