Hello
Is it important that data be uniformly distributed in the data volumes?
Is it possible to redistribute the data after adding some more file?
Thank you & regards,
T.C.
MaxDB will detect hot-spots in the database itself, and shuffle the data when there is no high load.. So you don't have to take care fo this yourself.
Kind regards,
Mark

As of MaxDB Version 7.7.06.09, such a mechanism can be activated using parameter EnableDataVolumeBalancing.
If the parameter EnableDataVolumeBalancing (deviating from the default) is set to value YES, all data is implicitly distributed evenly to all data volumes after you add a new data volume or delete a data volume.
