Portal Content for Validating Standard UI functionality in ECC master data

Hi

We are developing Custom screens for Master Data - Customer, Vendor and Material which will replace SAP standard screens. We are looking for some standard Content on portal which we can reuse to handle the basic ECC/MDM Business validation for UI elements thereby avoiding having to build lookup calls to Validation Function modules/BAPIs in ECC / Calls to MDM.

Since we are building this for both Global Data as well as regional/Plant level data, we need this reuse functionality for both ECC and MDM.

Does SAP provide standard Portal Webdynpro content aligned to this sort of a functionality? We dont have any custom validations(ZBAPis/calls) in the ECC, we intend to just replicate the standard validations existing in the ECC screen flows.

Your suggestions will be most welcome..

you are creating custom transaction code to maintain master data, that is nothing but transaction iview in portal. Actually portal is just a container to show the transaction meanwhile you are actually working in R/3. So as you are in R/3 there will not be any control over portal to validate anything e.g. if any mandatory field is empty.

In this case even you cannot use any RFC because it is not Webdynpro Java application. There is only way for validation to do is create BADI and check thats all.
