Updating of budget with exchange rate

Hi,

I have put budget on WBS in USD, at that time it was converted to INR(CO area currency) based on the exchange rate defined in OB08. But when i change the exchange rate , budet in INR is not automatically getting changed in WBS.

Pl help me how can automatilly update the budget in INR depending on exchange rate as on date.

Hi Kalpesh,

Once budgeted, the converted values cannot be changed whenever you change the exchange rate.

But if you budget new WBS elements, the converted values will use new exchange rate.

Also, there is rate type that determines the conversion value.

This is defined the customizing path SPRO -> Project System -> Costs -> Create CO Versions.

For the current year, all the budget and plan value conversions take this rate type only.

thanks fo reply. One thing more i want to ask is that if we maintain the budget on a WBS in USD then it takes exchange rate maintained as on 01.04.10 only. Even if we have maintained exchange rate as of today then also it takes the rate as on 01.04.10 only. How is it possible
