Parallel setup of PI Server

Hi

At present we have the scenario like this....

Data is coming from FTP server to PI Server and after processing goes to ERP Processor.

Now we have to create a paralle server so that if the system crashes we can have the data transfered to the new server.

What should be the steps to create a parralel server of PI . Like the file to be copied from the current Pi server to the new server

as well as settings at the application level in the new PI Server.

A common solution would be to setup your PI system as HA (high available). Depending on your platform, there exist a dozen different solutions to have a system highly available. For simple failover clusters, this means you have two servers. Your PI runs on server1. When server1 fails, the PI switches over to server2.

You should talk to your os admins and sap basis people about that. Of course there might be faster and cheaper possibilities to guarantee your ftp transfer. Imagine back in the old days we didn't need no PI for ftp at all...
