Cost Should be Posted based on the Weight at the time of GI

We have a senior as below

This is a cement industry scenario,

Cement cost is based on Unit of Measures TON and sold in Bags

Customer will place the sales order for bags of cement. Once the sales order is created we will create the delivery to dispatch the sales order

After creation of the delivery truck will go on the weighbridge where in it will check the empty weight of truck and after loading loaded weight of truck.

Based on the weighbridge calculation net weight will be calculated and updated in the Delivery

Not as per the current senior cost will be posted at the time of GI and it is based on quantity

*What user wants cost should be based on the net weight and not on the quantity and in the material master weight will be maintain as blank

Need your help will cost can be based on weight of the product how does it impact the system*

Thanks

Krishna

If the users can maintain the exact weight of material in KG, then the same can be maintained in Basic Data1 or in Additional Data, which will populate in delivery. But I doubt this is possible due to practical operational constraints.

So what you can do is that develop a zee tcode for updating the actual weight at the time of weightment in weighbridge which should subsequently, update in delivery also. Of course, for this, the corresponding delivery should not have PGId by the user. Just create and save that. Once the exact weight is updated in delivery, user can do mass PGI via VL06G

Now you can calculate the exact cost based on weight.
