Parallel Exp/Imp - Migration Monitor

Hello,

A few questions regarding Migration Monitor-

I want to do a parallel Export Import using Migration Monitor to reduce Downtime. I have gone through MigratioMonitor.pdf that comes along with MIGMON.SAR. But have some questions.

1. Can you confirm that I need to run Export Monitor as Server mode?

2. I can start activities in target host - (for Import) only after the Directory Structure of Export Dump is created. Am I right?

3. Any other crucuial points I need to keep in mind?

Hi,

1. Can you confirm that I need to run Export Monitor as Server mode?

The export monitor on the source should be started with mode -client, the target should be started with -server

Wait until everything is finished successfully and check the log files.

3. Do I need to keep in mind the location of the export properties file? Can i keep it in the same location as the Media?

I copied it to: /usr/sap/QE1/install/sapinst_instdir/NW04/COPY/EXPORT/ABAP/COPY/NUC/DBEXP
