Hi,
I have a requirement to calculate Totals in a TABLE, I found this information in the SAP Help:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/74/fd4142646ab46be10000000a155106/frameset.htm
inside this link comes this text
"Totaling
Caution
This function should not be used by application developers. Instead they should use the ALV functions."
I got confused in here, cause I don´t understand if they are recomending to use ALV instead of a TABLE or that you can use ALV functions within your TABLE.
Hope somebody can help me with this confusion.
Kind Regards,
Gerardo J
Hi ,
For totaling u can use both SAP List Viewer (ALV) or TABLE.If you want to use ALV ,u need to create a aggregate rule on FIELD u need to total of aggregate Type - if_salv_wd_c_aggregation=>aggrtype_total. If you want to use TABLE u need to u can go through WDR_TEST_TABLE for reference.
Thanks,
Naga Prakash

Hi Gerado,
I have always used ALV for such requirements.
But, you can do totals in TABLE UI element as well.
Please check method FILL_SFLIGHT in the view SUMMARY in the standard sample component WDR_TEST_TABLE.
It will give you the idea on totaling.

Sumit
