Same business system - both in development and production

Hi Friends,

We have been using a thrid party business system BS_DEV in development SLD.

Now being it a third party business system, can i use the same business system BS_DEV in production SLD. Or creation of target business system BS_PROD is mandatory?

You can use same name for both development and production. But to maintain naming convention across each environment, better create one for prod environment .

It depends on how you have your naming conventions set-up.

To answer you question: YES you can manitain.

Another possibility:

Step1: Create business system in prod SLD as 'BS_DEV'. (This is needed to satisfy step3)

Step2: Create another business system in prod SLD as 'BS_PROD'.

Step3: Set the target system for BS_DEV to BS_PROD

3.1: By doing this, all objects with BS_DEV would automatically convert into BS_PROD during transports.
