SMD Agent do not start

Hello everybody

There is a SMD Agent installed in one host and when I try to start it with SMDADM user, the error below appears:

/usr/sap/SMD/J98/../exe/smdstart.sh[140]: 28395 Killed

exit code 137 returned.

Do you have any clue?

--> this message states the issue is caused by a library that is not found

I would recommend you to check where the above file "libapu16.so" is available and make sure it can be found through the environment variables when you are logged on as smdadm.

Then retry to start your SMD agent.

Besides the issue, I would recommend you to take a look at replacing your SMD Agent with a newer version. The new versions of the SMD Agent use SAP JVM which has more clear error messages and is more stable. It also offers additional functionality.
