Oracle 10g patche installation

Dear Friends,

Very very happy new year.

We have oracle 10g release 10.2.0.2.0

DB client lib. OCI_102 (10.2.0.1.

DB releases ORACLE 9.2.0..,

DBSL version 700.08

DBSL Patch Level 201

OS is as below

Operating system HP-UX

Machine type ia64

Platform ID 274

Now we have to apply oracle patches.

IF any one has done this or having any document , please provide me and any idea is most welcome

Hi,

The error states that SBP cannot be installed on your database system becasue your database version is 10.2.0.2 (Please confirm).

To install SBP 10.2.0.5.1 201012, the Oracle Home must have the 10.2.0.5.0 database patch set installed.

FIrst of all, you must apply patchset from 10.2.0.2 to 10.2.0.5 using ./runInstaller See the OSS notes 839187 and 871735.

Then apply SBP using mopatch.

Please read the OSS notes mentioned above carefully before procedding SBP.

I was trying to run command given by you but it is not running, giving error message command does not exist.

Hi,

every opatch comes with a specific description on how to install the patch - it is part of the zip file. Please consult those specific instructions and you should do just fine.
