Interest Calculation

Hi Gurus

I want to create a new condition type to calculate the interest based on the no.of periods. I don't see any field relating to time period in the field catalog. Is there any standard config to achieve this or do we need to add a field to the field catalog. What field to you recommend if needed to be added.

I want to display the interest rate calculated based on the number of months and displayed in the item level pricing in the sales order.
