Oracle database Refresh

Dear experts,

I am doing data refresh.

1.shutdown source database , taking file system backup (sapdata1-6,logs,oraarchs) into tape.

2. deleted the target database by DBCA.

3.coping the back up filesystem to target file system (including archives)

4.creating control file from source trace file.

5.mount

5.alter database open resetlogs.

is this works???

• How can i confirm that all my archives are backed up?? ' any SQL query?

is this process makes problem in archives??? what is the solution

i suffered with archive logs in compactability (unable to succed)

Hi,

This will work but before that you need to do a relinking of database before proceeding.
