BACKEND SYSTEM error in ENTERPRISE PORTAL

Hi all,

We are on SRM 5.0 SP13.

We are using Enterprise portal as the Interface to log onto SRM system.When we log in as Buyer,on the very first screen in EP,we get the foll error in a pop up box:

"FAILED TO CONNECT TO BACKEND SYSTEM.CHECK YOUR SYSTEM DEFINITION AND USER PREVILIGES".

After we click on OK in the pop up,the messaeg goes away and we are able to run all the transaction fine.

Is the above issue related EP roles/authorization or it something we need to check in SRM system??

Please checks u r getting backend documents also or not. If not created it means you are not connected with backend system. So please check RFC and all other connections.

Please check some iView is connected to ERP or not.

Can you please elaborate what settings I need to check??DO I need to aks the EP person to check the EP side settings?
