Unable to create Repository in MDM console.

hi,

After mounting the MDM server in MDM console. I am not able to "create repository" in MDM console it is giving error "unable to connect to databse"...

Can you confirm the error? Is it "Error initializing Database Engine"?

Make sure your database parameters are set properly in the start up files, which are the /MDM_HOME/.SetUpMdmEnvirenment file (in V5.5) or /home/sidadm/.mdmdbenv.sh (for V7.1). These are for Unix. Changes to these files require a restart.

Then make sure you add the correct connection parameters in the Console under MDM Servers/DBMS Settings.

Once these are set you should be able to access the database and create a repository.

As error states that, unable to connect to the database. Please check whether MDM is able to connect to its database.
