company structure

Hello Everyone,

I found useful info here regarding company structure and cross company sales.

I just like to confirm the following understanding is correct:

1. Cross company sales:

The Delivering Plant can be assigned to Sales Org1 which is assigned to Co Code 1 of Group 1.

The Delivering Plant can be assigned to Sales Org2 which is assigned to Co Code 2 of Group 1.

2. In addition to point 1, cross company sales does not apply in the case where

The Delivering Plant can be assigned to Sales OrgX which is assigned to Co Code X of Group 2 since Group 1 and Group 2 are of different Client and in this scenario Group 1 and Group 2 are assumed to be unrelated groups of companies.

3. So, this means Cross company sales is only applicable for sales WITHin a Group. So, the assignment logic is NOT Applicable or out of scope for Cross company sales and Plant : Sorg : Cocode relationship.

Thanks.

sincerely

Bass

hi bass,

this is to inform you that,

1.a. for cross company sales we need to assign - in SALES ORGN - DISTRIBUTION CHANNEL - PLANT.

2.a. this is also considered as a cross company sales because transaction is happening in between two company codes in between 2 companies.

3.a. in a company we can have n number of company codes. the transaction between them are divided into two types.

inter company - when business happens with in two company codes with in a company or different companies.

intra company - when business happens with in one company code of the company.

hope this clears your requriment.
