Unable to delete BG JOBS

Hi Experts,

In SM37,it is shown two jobs are in active status,i want to delete this two jobs.When i am going to delete this job it throws error message as "< job_name> is in active status, the selected function cannot be performed".But while stopping, shows as "<job_name> is not active- cancellation not possible".I noticed the job details and find WP number/PID.

I have checked in SM50,i didn't find any process which is in active status with same PID as found in SM37 job details.

Then restart the server but there is no improvement, so i am really confused how to delete.

Hi,

As long as the jobs are in active status you cannot delete them. First the status has to be changed and as per your information job seems to be cancelled. So in SM37, first select the two jobs and then choose check status from job menuwhich will change the status to cancelled. Now you can delete those jobs if required.

Hi Pinaki,

The job is not getting deleting - they are still active.

Are you able to cancel the jobs via sm37 itself?

After cancelling the job, try deleting them. Moreover it might be the jobs are scheduled to occur peridoically.

Cancel the period as well.
