Dear All,
My client want to implement SRM 7.0 with SRM-MDM 3.0 for backend ECC 6 without using XI component.
Please correct me if I am wrong:
+ Transferring product from ECC to SRM does not required XI. Can be achieve through CRM middleware.
+ Extended classic scenario can be possible without using XI by uploading MDM data from Excel.
+ It is not necessary to create material master in ERP and SRM if you create all the Shopping cart either catalogue data or else
with material description.
Thanks,
Regards,
Jennifer
Hi Jennifer,
You are right for all 3 points.
One clarification for 3rd point:
- It is not required to create material master in ERP or SRM, if it is okay to just use descriptions without material master. In this case, Catalog also should not have product codes.
Best regards,
Ramki

thanks for reply Ram.
It's true that without creating material/product data it would be complicated to use SRM. So we have decided to create the material/product in SRM/MM and then upload the data in MDM catalogue via Excel manually.
Please correct if I am wrong,
In general practice, material first created in MM, then it replicated to SRM. After that it created in MDM either manually or via XI.
Thanks,
Jennifer
