Retesting when test fails

Dear Gurus,

I have a scenario that when recording inspection results, a test might fail, I'm using inspection points to record a new point as retest, but it is not functioning well as the final results in the certificate is the average of the entered results, which is not acceptable by my customer as he needs to display the retest result only, any ideas?

Regards,

MaX

It can depend on the inspection you are using and if you are batch managed.

If an 03, go into config for the inspection point identifier and you should find a check box that says something like "last inspection point valid". Click this on.

If an 04, and you ar batch managed report the value from the batch as in standard SAP the full insp point functionality is not available for 04 and as a result only the last valuated inspection point is copied to the batch.

If an 04 and not batch managed, when a retest is done, go into the first inspection point and mark the test result as invalid using the / in the attribute field. This tells SAP not to include this in the averaging. It still averages but you'll only have an n of 1.
