Usage for item category

Hello ,

As we know, item category is related to sales doc type, Usage among others.

I have not configured usage with item category before.

May I get an example from you where I can see how Usage (abap program) can be used with item category group. Any real life example ?

hi;

this is to inform you that

this useage is not viewed in any of the master data & trnsaction data.

this is a simple text which you can g ahead and type manually in VOV4 screen in new entries; but it controls the system reaction when you process the sales document while determining its item category as one of the selection criteria in VOV4.

it stores the values in TVVW table.

i heard that this plays a vital role in APO for deciding the item category apart from TAPA.
