I am having problems accessing ICF through my VPN.
When I run the test program "SAPHTML_SSO_DEMO" directly thru the SAPGUI on the SERVER, I get a good message: "Server reached Successfully". I can also test the activations through SICF.
But when I run the test program thru the SAPGUI on my desktop using VPN, I get an error message: "The program cannot display the web page: possible cause: The domain server (DNS) is not reachable".
Can anyone tell me why I can't run ICF through my VPN connection? Is there something I am missing?
Thanks,
Peggy
Thank you, but as soon as I sent this I thought of something.
I added the I/P address of my server in my etc/host file and I noticed that sapmsCR1/3600 was not in my etc/services file. Once I updated the host and services file and restarted my computer, it works.
Thanks,
Peggy

With your VPN recognize the full qualified host name. Examplo in internal network you in to
hostname.domain.com:<port>/xyz
If you have ping to hostname.domain.com you receive response (internal network)
Try ping to the hostname.domain.com in your VPN. Check that you receive response.
